The Field Mobile App (FMA for short) is a full-scale rebuild of the existing technician app. The Field Mobile App aims to improve key workflows so technicians have an easier experience. Going forward, the app will be fully native–meaning technicians will now enjoy better performance, increased security, intuitive design elements, and far fewer crashes. This new version is optimized for both phones and tablets, meaning technicians can use the phone when they’re working in the attic and a table when presenting to customers.

The Field Mobile App is currently in limited release. We’re currently building out all of the features and functionalities to supercharge your businesses’ workflows, but you can sign up now to be on the waitlist for early access. There isn’t a “magic date” we’re targeting for release, but the majority of customers are looking to use the new app in the second half of 2025.

The new Field Mobile App only works with the new Flexible Timekeeping Payroll, which needs to be set up at the company level. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager today to start the configuration and learn more about the new app. Otherwise, technicians will be able to continue utilizing the same credentials they have, download the new app, log in, and go! We recommend talking with your technicians early about the change and giving select access to a few techs to enable them to help train others as the rollout progresses.
